CAAT Support Extension Agreement Information - Friday July 28, 2017
Dear Support Staff Members of OPSEU Local 557,
I have no more working Mondays left. In fact, this past Monday was my first Monday of retirement. I have to say that it felt rather odd to not get on the train, take the subway and head to Case Loma campus. Almost 30 years of routine can be hard to change.
Firstly, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you who were able to attend the retirement party that was thrown for me on Friday evening. It touched me deeply to see so many of you give up your Friday evening away from your own family to send me off "in style". What an amazing party it was! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

OPSEU College Support Staff Marilou Martin Scholarship Fall 2018 - November 2, 2018
Secondly, I want to thank all of you for giving me the honour of representing you for the last 30 years. It hasn't always been easy, but we have created some fond and wonderful memories together, made some positive changes in the workplace, and made life easier for the people who come after each of us.
Lastly, please remember to give the newly elected leadership of your Local the same support, respect and assistance. They are a wonderful group of activists and together you will do great things.
I hope to keep up with many of you and cross paths in my new life away from George Brown College. All the best to each and every one of you.

OPSEU College Support Staff workers are once again offering the “OPSEU College Support Staff Marilou Martin Scholarship.” This scholarship is given to full-time students in one of the 24 Colleges of Applied Arts & Technology (CAAT) in Ontario. Support Staff local unions across the province fundraise to offer these scholarships to the students we proudly work with.
This year, we are pleased to offer an additional semester with eight (8) x $1,500 scholarships.
